WHEREAS, Mary W. Luster a dedicated and exceptional public servant has diligently provided 30 years of outstanding service to the State of Nevada’s Department of Transportation within the Right-of Way division, and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada recognizes her exceptional achievements throughout her career and commends her for a job well done; and

WHEREAS, Mary received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi Valley State University in 1969 with a major in Business Education and minors in English and Mathematics, and

WHEREAS, Mary taught in Hollandale, Mississippi before she and her husband moved westward to Hawthorne, Nevada where she taught for the Mineral County School District, and

WHEREAS, Mary has achieved a distinguished career at the Department of Transportation which spans from a Secretary, Right-of-Way Agent and will end as Supervisor of Right-of-Way, and

WHEREAS, Mary Luster has exhibited knowledge, a strong work ethic, unwavering integrity, dedication and commitment to the people of the State of Nevada she has served while representing the Nevada Department of Transportation, and

WHEREAS, Mary Luster is described by her contemporaries, friends and co-workers as a positive, caring friend always helpful and understanding, and a pleasure to be around , she will sincerely be missed by all those having the pleasure and good fortune to know her, and

WHEREAS, Mary has shown commitment to her community by her dedication as a Soroptimist member giving tirelessly as a volunteer for CASA, and other community organizations, and

WHEREAS, in honor of Mary and in recognition of her significant contributions, her friends and co-workers wish her a happy and prosperous retirement, and

WHEREAS, Mary has displayed exceptional commitment and dedication throughout her years of service with the State of Nevada, and on behalf of the citizenry of the Silver State, I would like to thank and commend her for her years of devoted and honorable service and extend our best wishes for a healthy, happy and fulfilling retirement:
