WHEREAS, we are fortunate to have been blessed with an abundance of recreational opportunities that our citizens and tourists can enjoy all year round; and

WHEREAS, Nevada’s vast natural resources are open and available to residents and tourists and offer an unmatched opportunity to hike, fish, boat, camp, hunt and enjoy numerous other outdoor activities; and

WHEREAS, Great Outdoors Month is an opportunity for our citizens to explore the great outdoor activities Nevada has to offer and renew our commitment to conserving our air, water and land so that generations to come will have the opportunity to enjoy Nevada’s unique and vast outdoor splendor; and

WHEREAS, Great Outdoors Month provides a wonderful opportunity to reintroduce our children to nature and all the adventures that are available to them; and

WHEREAS, by encouraging residents and tourists to go outdoors we encourage a more active and healthy life style, improve mental and physical health, reduce substance abuse and enhance the economy of the State;
