WHEREAS, Ruth Hart is being honored by the citizens of the City of Carlin; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Hart's tireless efforts on behalf of the citizens of Carlin, the County of Elko, and the Great State of Nevada are noted by her unselfish commitment to her church and community; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Hart has served her community as a Carline City Council member for 4 years; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Hart has demonstrated her dedication to the needs of Carlin's youth by being the coordinator and sole staff member of the After School Program that provides a safe and welcoming environment for children to go after school when their parents are not home; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Hart has exhibited exemplary concern for the well-being of her community by serving on many of Carlin's organizations such as: Carlin Friends of the Library, Carlin Booster Club, Carlin Community Organization; and was instrumental in organizing Carlin's 125^th Birthday celebration and was the driving force behind the efforts to clean up the community by organizing Carlin Cleanup Days, a continued source of pride for Carlin residents; and

WHEREAS, the citizens of Carlin will recognize the outstanding achievements of Ruth Hart by presenting her with the Carlin Citizen of the year award on June 7th, 2008;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM GIBBONS, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim June 7th, 2008, as a day in honor of a Great Nevadan
