WHEREAS, Krys T. Bart was named Reno-Tahoe Airport Director in December of 1998; she began her tenure when Reno-Tahoe International was experiencing declining air service and financial struggles; and

WHEREAS, by July 2006 the Air Transport Research Society honored Reno-Tahoe International by naming it one of the five most efficient airports in North America; and

WHEREAS, Krys T. Bart was named the 2007 Airport Director of the Year by Airport Revenue News Magazine, due to her success in increasing airport revenue and enhancing customer service and community outreach; and

WHEREAS, Krys T. Bart was named Airport Executive of the year in 2002 by the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives, she was inducted into the Reno Business Leaders Hall of Fame in December 2005 and in 2004 Ms. Bart was named one of the seven most respected CEOs in Nevada by the Nevada Business Journal; and

WHEREAS, Krys T. Bart was elected Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) in 2007 and has represented our State with distinction as the leader of the most influential airport organization in the world and helped raise the international profile of the Reno-Tahoe region while striving to enhance aviation safety, security, and service worldwide; and

WHEREAS, Krys T. Bart has displayed exceptional commitment and dedication to the Reno-Tahoe International, and on behalf of the citizenry of the Silver State, we thank and commend her for her devoted and admirable service;
