WHEREAS, Nevadans enjoy quality time spent in a variety of outdoor recreational activities including fishing; and

WHEREAS, fishing is wholesome family friendly activity that contributes to the physical well-being and happiness of the people of the State; and

WHEREAS, fishing instills a love of nature, an interest in conservation and provides families an activity they can enjoy together for a lifetime; and

WHEREAS, fishing-related expenditures provide significant contributions to Nevada’s economy; and

WHEREAS, the Nevada Department of Wildlife is committed to supporting and continuing the State’s rich fishing heritage by educating, enabling and encouraging anglers and effectively managing the State’s fisheries for the benefit of the Citizens of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, citizens of Nevada are invited to observe this day of free fishing by taking advantage of the many opportunities our State offers for fishing activities;
