WHEREAS, the safety of citizens across all industries is paramount; and

WHEREAS, Nevada is the fastest growing State in the nation, employment growth in Nevada dictates a need for safety awareness; and

WHEREAS, The Silver State Governor's Safety Board has been instrumental in providing quality curriculum and educational opportunities in safety related fields for future generations of Nevadans; and

WHEREAS, the Silver State Governor's Safety Conference will be presenting the Associated Builders and Contractors National Safety Training Evaluation Program (STEP) Awards recognizing organizations that consciously promote safety within their industry; and

WHEREAS, the Silver State Governor's Safety Conference will be providing safety classes and seminars, covering topics relevant to safety within the construction, casino/entertainment, mining, manufacturing and general industries; and

WHEREAS, the Silver State Governor's Safety Conference will provide a spectrum of topics covering both the art and science of safety and the organizational issues influencing the effective management of safety; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends the Safety Board for their outstanding commitment to providing training and instruction in an effort to reduce accident rates in our Silver State,
