WHEREAS Mary Kuckenmeister is an exceptional state employee who has provided 28 years of exceptional services to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kuckenmeister began her career with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in June of 1979 as a seasonal employee for the State of Nevada, and will end her career as an IT Tech VI for the Division of Child and Family Services on July 7, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada recognizes the exceptional contributions to state services and to the citizens of this great state, the outstanding achievements with the Division of Child and Family Services and commends her for a job well done; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kuckenmeister is described by her friends and co-workers as creative, energetic, helpful, hard-working, professional, articulate and a very positive person who has been one who brings laughter, friendship and kindness to all around her; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kuckenmeister will be sincerely missed by all who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her as co-workers, friends, and on community projects; and

WHEREAS, on behalf of the citizens of the State of Nevada, I thank and commend Mary Kuckenmeister for her many years of devoted and honorable services to our Silver State and wish her continued success in all her future endeavors;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM GIBBONS, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim July 7, 2008 as a day in honor of
