WHEREAS, Cecellia Williams Wallace has served the Silver State with distinction for 30 years and 5 months, working for the Department of Motor Vehicles, Nevada Systems for Higher Education, Insurance Division, and the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services; and WHEREAS, Cecellia Williams Wallace began her career on July 5, 1977 with the Department of Motor Vehicles leaving August 13, 1981; although she had a short break in service, she returned to the State on March 23, 1983 with Nevada Systems for Higher Education, concluding her career as a Family Service Supervisor; and WHEREAS, Cecellia Willams Wallace has worked under six governors: Michael O’Callaghan, Robert List, Richard Bryan, Robert Miller, Kenny C. Guinn; and Jim Gibbons; and WHEREAS, Cecellia Williams Wallace has demonstrated professionalism, patience and dependability in her work for the agency earning respect from her colleagues for her ability to consistently meet difficult challenges; and WHEREAS, Cecellia Williams Wallace will be sincerely missed by her colleagues and friends who extend their best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous retirement; NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM GIBBONS, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim July 11, 2008, as a day in honor of CECELLIA WILLIAMS WALLACE |
