WHEREAS, Leslee Arnold was hired on September 17, 1984 and has served the Silver State with distinction for nearly 24 years, her entire career spent with the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services; and

WHEREAS, Leslee Arnold received many commendations during her career with the Division including; a 1993 commendation for her contributions to the NOMADS project, a 1993 commendation from AARP for her contributions to implementing the AARP sponsored Information Counseling and Assistance Program, a 1995 commendation for her service to the Division Training Board and a 2004 commendation for her successful graduation from the Ninth Supervisor Academy; and 

WHEREAS, Leslee Arnold made significant contributions to the development of the Nevada Operation of Multi-Automated Data Systems (NOMADS) project enabling Nevada to be one of the leading states in the nation in attaining federal system certification meeting both the standards set forth in the Family Support Act of 1988 and the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996; and

WHEREAS, Leslee Arnold has demonstrated professionalism, patience and dependability in her work for the agency earning respect from her colleagues for her ability to consistently meet difficult challenges; and,

WHEREAS, Leslee Arnold will be sincerely missed by her colleagues and friends who extend their best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM GIBBONS, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim July 30, 2008, as a day in honor of
