WHEREAS, Viana Elizabeth Lewis has served the Silver State with distinction for 27  years and 4 months, working for the  Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services; and

WHEREAS, Viana Elizabeth Lewis began her career on August 16, 1976 with the Department of  Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, as a Clerk/Typist, she received a few more promotions before taking a break; and

WHEREAS, Viana Elizabeth returned to State services in 1990 as a Family Services Specialist I for the Department of Health and Human Services and was  promoted to Family Services Specialist II the following year; and 

WHEREAS, Viana Elizabeth Lewis has demonstrated professionalism, patience, and dependability in her work, earning respect from her colleagues for her ability to consistently meet difficult challenges; and

WHEREAS, Viana Elizabeth Lewis will be sincerely missed by her colleagues and friends who extend their best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM GIBBONS, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim August 8, 2008, as a day in honor of
