WHEREAS, Clare Williams is an excellent state employee who has provided 30 years of exceptional service to the State of Nevada; and  

WHEREAS, on November 13, 2009, Clare Williams culminates her 30+ year career in public service which began on June 13, 1977, as an Administrative Aid and concluded as a Personnel Analyst for the North/Rural Region in Carson City, Nevada; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada recognizes the dedicated contributions to state service and to the citizens of this great state, the outstanding achievements with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Child and Family Services, and commends her for a job well done; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada also celebrates Clare Williams’ many achievements as a treasured employee with the Nevada Department of Transportation, the Nevada Department of Personnel, and the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety; and

WHEREAS, Clare Williams, during her long career as a public servant never lost her passion for public service, serving her final five years of service in a mission to benefit the state’s children and youth; and

WHEREAS, Clare Williams is described by her contemporaries, friends and co-workers as a "team player," patient, understanding, loyal, helpful, hard-working, professional, positive, and a pleasure to be around; and

WHEREAS, on behalf of the citizens of the State of Nevada, we thank and commend Clare Williams for her many years of devoted and honorable service to our Silver State and wish her continued success in all her future endeavors;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM GIBBONS, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 13, 2009 as a day in honor of
