Carson City—
Governor Jim Gibbons announced today
that John T. Moran III has been
appointed to the State of Nevada Ethics
Commission.
“The State of Nevada will be well served
by John T. Moran III, who has an
exemplary record of service to the State
of Nevada and Clark County,”
said Governor Jim Gibbons.
John T. Moran III received a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Political Science from
Arizona State University, and a Juris
Doctor degree from California Western
School of Law. He was admitted to the
Nevada State Bar in 2000 and is admitted
to practice before the U.S. District
Court of Nevada, Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals, and is enrolled to practice
before the Nevada Gaming Control Board
and Nevada Gaming Commission.
“I am very honored by the Governor’s
appointment to this important and
prestigious State Commission. I look
forward to serving the people of this
great State in that capacity,” said
John T. Moran III.
The Nevada State Ethics Commission is
comprised of eight members; four members
are appointed to the commission by the
Governor, and four are appointed by the
State Legislature.
The commission regulates and enforces
ethics laws as they pertain to public
officers and employees.
